CEA CAPA Education Abroad: Florence, Italy
Adaptability, self awareness, courage, communication/language, a new sense of adventure, and self reliance were some of the things I learned while abroad, and I wouldn't trade it for anything

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The neighborhood I was placed in was safe and very close to the Duomo and the CAPA building |
* Food: |
Food was amazing. If you want to try authentic Italian food I suggest you go to the country itself. Everything is made from fresh ingredients and with love. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Everyone was friendly, enthusiastic and the locals were curious to learn about the cultures of students that study there as well. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Although I did not need any medical attention personally, their healthcare system was easily accessible to those that required it. |
* Safety: |
If you go to Italy, do not be worried about your safety in terms of criminal activities. I never felt that I was in danger while away. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
The purpose of my program was to examine healthcare in Italy so if I was given the opportunity to pursue education abroad again, I would choose the same program to delve more into their healthcare system to gain more knowledge in hopes of utilizing it to help others here in America. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
I am not a huge spender so the budget I created for myself lasted me throughout the entire trip. Be smart with how much you spend abroad. |

The Academic or LinguistYou went abroad with specific academic goals in mind; the program credentials and rigor of your coursework abroad were very important to you. You had a great time abroad, but never lost sight of your studies and (if applicable) were diligent with your foreign language study. Good for you! |
