I learned a lot about the French culture and Europeans in general. I also learned a lot of language and practical skills.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

academics were easier than home institution, but it was made up my the cultural and personal things I learned

On-site administration of your program

Kristen does an excellent job. Not only is like a second mother abroad, she also helps out with everything. She plans every thing so well, is very good-natured, teaches us a lot, a truly cares about all the members of the program.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Perfect apartment in a perfect location.

* Food:

French food = fresh and delicious with a very bountiful picking of desserts.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

very integrated, even though I have a strong accent. Kristen also gave us many tips and tricks to really get to know Antibes and the surrounding cities.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Whether it was a simple bug big or a visit to the doctor, Kristen always had the answer.

* Safety:

Town was very safe, felt comfortable there at night.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

It was expensive, but I also did not try to budget on food.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Work very hard before you go so that you can enjoy yourself and spend the money that you want to spend when you want to spent it.

0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language

Half of us had a very good grasp of the language, the other half were beginners. It was a good balance though

What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? about 4 years of French in high school, and 2 in college
How many hours per day did you use the language?
Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Make goals: I made a goal in the beginning and made sure I used it every time I went into a store.
