What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I became more independent and confident. I met some amazing people that have become some of my best friends, and having the opportunity to live and work in a foreign country will give my a competitive advantage over my peers.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Buy fresh food rather than processed it is cheaper and check out local pubs for 2 for 1 deals. Most stores and tourist attractions offer student discounts with a valid ID so it never hurts to ask.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The experience I gained from doing an international internship.
  • I met people that have become some of my best friends.
  • I had the opportunity to be completely immersed in a foreign culture.
* What could be improved?
  • I wish the information would have been sent out earlier than a week prior to departure.
  • I needed to purchase a textbook for one of my courses, and I think they should have sent that information prior to departure so I could have purchased the book at home.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish i would have packed a bigger variety of clothes because of the variation in weather during the course of my stay.
