CEA CAPA Education Abroad: London, England

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I signed up for this program with a friend because I was nervous to go on my own. Looking back on it now, I regret that decision. I wish I never did because it really hurt our friendship. I learned a lot about myself, about other countries and cultures, and I absolutely loved it. I was able to travel a lot and saw a lot of the world. It was an amazing experience that I think everyone should take advantage of.

London is a very expensive city because of the exchange rate, but that was expected.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? about $200
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? We planned on using 40 GBP (British Pounds) per week for groceries, which is about $65 We lived in a flat with a kitchen so cooking for ourselves saved some money, but do go out and enjoy some cultural meals like bangers and mash with a good pint! Don't hold back because of money, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.
