It was amazing. I have lasting memories, souvenirs and friends. It was the best decision that I have ever made.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I really enjoyed the different learning environment. I felt you had a harder grading but also challenging opportunity to do well. The staff helped with any questions and taught clearly. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The staff was wonderful. They helped you with locating anything you needed or wanted to find. They knew about places to visit and where, say, to find a local movie theater if you wanted to go. They were all wonderful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this program to anyone. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
My roommates and I lived in a very nice area, close by to two tube stations, local pubs and restaurants and even theaters. It was only approx. 10 to 15 minutes away from Buckingham Palace and had a nearby park and bus system near. It was perfect. |
* Food: |
In my program, I received a weekly stipend for food, which always worked out great because I never had to worry about that expense. Some students for other colleges and even the homestay students did not receive that. I think it would be better to add that additional cost into the price because it is an expense that you will not have to worry about when you are there. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I loved the walking tour opportunities and the travel experiences that were offered to us. It gave me a chance to learn more about England as well as to visit another country (France). I also loved the tea events and group events they created to bring us all closer together to get to know and meet more students in the program outside of our comfort zones. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I always felt safe and had no problems. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Anyone who has never traveled out of the United States because this country is similar yet very different from one's own. I was nervous, but I met wonderful people that lived there and the beauty of the buildings was gorgeous. No one will have this experience like you will. It will stay with you in the pictures you take, the souvenirs you bring back and the cultural aspects that stick with you. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and explore a little. The world is far more larger than the US is. |
