Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I feel as if I learned a lot and the professors were very helpful, however the staff and administrators at FIE were a little difficult and not respectful since we were not fully emerged into their program. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Elizabeth Watkins is a great overseas coordinator extremely helpful and understanding. She understands the way a program should be run and then strives for that, and she understands the students. She is also extremely knowledgeable about the country, and met all expectations. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
We had great flats to live in, they were in a great location and extremely safe and beautiful. the only problem was it was hard to get things fixed by the ACORN staff. |
* Food: |
We went to the market and cooked our own food the majority of the time, so it was pretty good, we didn't go out to eat too much. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I learned a lot about British Culture and did a couple or weekend trips into Europe which were amazing. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
we tried to stay in groups and make sure someone knew where we were at al times as a precaution. And when we got sick we just went to the local pharmacy to get medicine, so that was easy. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
Language acquisition improvement? |
N/A Every thing was taught in English |
A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | This program was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone, I loved it!!! |
