Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Most of the professors here tend to use more of their own opinion when teaching than I am used to. It makes essays a bit tricky since they don't usually want us to use our own opinion, but all they teach us in class is their opinion. |

I really like our faculty leader! He is very fun and is most interested in getting us out to explore the country and not just sit in the classroom all day. I also like how his seminar is focused on the arts. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Our landlord was very slow at fulfilling requests, though they eventually did get done after we asked for several weeks. I love the apartment though! It is huge and very homy. |

all food was on our own, so it was up to us to make it good. |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I really liked the CEA sponsored events! Those were probably my favorite parts of the program, especially working in the soup kitchen. |

I felt very safe while here in Rome. I never went out at night by myself, but that is a precaution I take anywhere. |

I know the basics of the language, but the way that the text book and the class was structured taught me more about the grammar of the language and not the actual vocabulary which is what I was interested in learning. I am usually able to get by with the little Italian I know and the little English the others know, so it isn't a huge issue. |
