What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes, it was an awesome experience. Has given me new eyes of the outside world and an outside perspective of our own country.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

There was not a whole lot of work load, mainly for our language class. The other classes had onsite classes and helped learn the material better than inside the class room. Professors are all very nice and interested in helping in whatever way you need and whatever way they can.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were awesome, always helped in anyway they can and if they could not help, the found a way they could pass on our issue or another person to help. Always friendly and have a smile on their faces. Great programs offered as well.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The apartment was nice and fit our needs. However, for the first few weeks are internet barley worked and then once we got a router it randomly went down and took a few days to get back up again. Also, when we had people that wanted to make food or do laundry, only one burner could be used at a time and laundry could not be going at the same time otherwise power went out.

* Food:

I got most of my food from the grocery store, but there are a few times I went out and got some really nice food, like the discount pizza place and a few restaurants on Nomentana.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The trips and events were all awesome and it was great to see everything offered by Roma and the Italian culture.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Nothing really went wrong here, did not need the medical system.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

The language helped in our neighborhood and when we needed it or when we wanted to practice. However, many places did speak English.
