Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I think that the workload was appropriate for the amount of time we were there. We got to go on great field trips to historical sites with my art history class (old churches, The Vatican, countless museums) and for the food and wine class we go to taste the food and wine which was fabulous!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Everyone at the Global Campus was extremely helpful. They had great tips on everything from good food, to good shopping and how to get from place to place. They were all so friendly and welcoming. They even helped us find out where Harry Potter was playing! They went above and beyond!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I loved muy housing! We were a little far from campus, but live right around the corner from a bus stop that took us right to campus and right to the metro! Our apartment was HUGE!! A big kitchen with eating area and tons of storage, 2 bathrooms, the large bedrooms, and a pretty big living room. We also had a large balcony! The little area that we lived in had plenty of stores and restaurants near by, pizza, gelato, clothing stores, and food markets!

* Food:

Its Rome, so pretty much anywhere you go it will be fantastic!! I think I ate gelato every day (sometimes twice a day) the pizza was amazing, pasta was fresh, and the fruit was to die for!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

With our program we had many different activities. A welcome lunch and good bye dinner, both at amazing restaurants with ENDLESS food! We had a walking tour of Rome which was nice because we got the chance to see so many of the "big" sites in one day (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps), we did a pizza and gelato crawl which was great to taste all of these different flavors in one day! We also had a cooking class which was nice, because I still make the food now! Our last stop in Rome was a "hike" to the top of St. Peter's Basilica, which gave the most amazing view of Rome! We had two big trips to Florence (day trip) and over night trip to see Pompeii, Sorrento, and Capri which were both planned out perfectly!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt very safe, others didn't feel as safe, but I think it comes more from your confidence and background experience.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
Language acquisition improvement?
