Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Teachers weren't as organized as they should have been. They were very laid back which I enjoyed but realize that is not how it should be.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I do not attend PC

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I was not very satisfied with my housing. I lived very far from the city center and the public transportation was not the best. The apartment was very dirty even though we had a cleaning service, she did not clean very well (dust, dirt, germs, etc.). I had to pay an extra $500 for nothing any more special than the other students not paying extra.

* Food:

The food can get old but it's good still!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

i traveled every weekend with friends which was amazing.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

my program wasn't very caring or helpful when it came to sickness/safety. My friend went "missing" and her mom called our program and the program got mad at my friend. During a time like that, that's the last thing she needed. I, along with many others, had a number of items stolen (i.e. wallet, iphone, blackberry, italian phone) and it was very bothersome but my program didn't help me or comfort me in anyway.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? cabs, travel

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

It was hard learning the new language because I was surronded by all Americans who spoke English with each other. Italians aren't the friendliest when trying to communicate with them (even if you try & know you're speaking the language right).
