CEA CAPA Education Abroad: Rome, Italy

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Definitely worthwhile. I gained so much knowledge and perspective on the culture of Italy and Europe in general. Would recommend studying abroad to any student who is thinking about this opportunity. Probably the time of my life and will never forget these past four months.

Comments: Since I already finished my language requirement, Italian 101 is not going to transfer over for any type of credit. I had Italian Mon-Thursday at 9pm everyday. Since I had never taken Italian before, I was forced to take this class. Since I am graduating this semester abroad, I had four other upper division courses I needed to focus on. It was unfair to me and to my professor for having to take this course. The only reason I went to class was to not get kicked out of the program for being absent. I understand part of studying abroad is learning about a different culture and language but I should not have been punished or threatened to get kicked out of CEA for not showing up for a class I was forced to take, and I am not going to get credit for.
