Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I found all my classes extremely interesting. The teachers were fun and innovative, the readings were pertinent and interesting, and the assignments were unconventional and actually applicable. Honestly, they were slightly easier than I expected, but it left the weekends open for travelling, and I pursued a lot of the topics we covered in class on my own.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Leo and Maggie were amazing. Extremely helpful and very fun and relatable. I always felt comfortable going to them with anything.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Myrna Vega Ortega is a goddess.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I would recommend, if possible, mixing classes at Veritas so international students could have some classes with locals.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $50?
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I actually didn't eat lunch most days because I ate big breakfasts and dinners. Buy groceries and cook them if you can. Don't pay more than $10 for hostels anywhere!
