Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Everything was smooth and facilitated nicely. The only thing I felt was unfair, was there were prerequisite listings, and I entered into a science class that I did not have the prerequisite for.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and most importantly caring. They always had things finished early and knew the system and the city in and out.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in a host home with a mother and her two children. I loved this. I loved having a family who cared for me, and I got to experience real culture first-hand every day.

* Food:

I wasn't scared like other students to try new things. There are unlimited options there just like there are here.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The trips were nice for getting to know and bond with the other American students, and really understand the entire Spanish culture, not just Seville.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I was safe, and I was so lucky to be able to take advantage of their healthcare while I was ill there. They have the same quality health system as we do. The only problem was communicating with doctors. The faculty of the program helped me very well with this.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

Language acquisition improvement?

Speaking everyday with my host family and interacting with native speakers enabled me to learn Spanish far more efficiently than any class. Not many people in Seville spoke English, and Spanish was required to participate in society.
