What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned what I needed personally to motivate myself and also make myself happy, it was a tremendous amount of self growth. It was absolutely worth while.

I was sick and was able to recover effectively.

Terrorist scare happened followed by a shooting after we had left, but it was handled appropriately by our program and we never felt in harms way at any point.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Sydney's cost of living is somewhat high, but manageable.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? cook yourself as often as possible!

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? How rewarding/important it is to travel and connect with people. Before going it's hard to see how important it is to connect with people in your program and traveling with new friends will create lasting friendships.
