What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
So worthwhile. I learned a lot about myself and the U.S. from studying abroad. I improved my time-management skills, gained confidence in travelling and meeting new people, gained a lot of independence, had amazing trips and experiences, and had so much fun.

I always felt safe and do not remember a time feeling uncomfortable. With that being said, it is always important to travel with a buddy and be aware of your surrounding.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Definitely plan to save a lot of money before studying abroad, and make a budget for how much you want to spend per week while you are there.

The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
