I learned to be less self-conscious about speaking Spanish. To just do it. I learned to take chances and travel. To get to know people even when you know you'll miss them. I learned to see the USA from others' viewpoints and be willing to challenge it myself. - Davidson College View Entire Review

About

This program is open to students who have completed three or more semesters of college-level Spanish.  Improve your language proficiency while earning credit toward your Spanish major or minor through coursework in art, culture, history and literature.  Through small tutoring sessions and cross-cultural workshops, only offered through Central College Abroad, advance your language and cultural skills.

Classes are held at the University of Granada's Center for Modern Languages, a modern facility which is equipped with language laboratories, a library, video rooms, lounges, study areas, and a café. The center is housed in the restored Palacio de Santa Cruz in the heart of the old city of Granada. The Central College on-site director has her office in the same building.

The city of Granada is home to more than 50,000 university students and offers many cultural, athletic and social activities. With a population of 300,000, the city has tree-shaded public squares, cobble-stoned pedestrian streets, and is dominated by the magnificent hilltop palace of the medieval Arab rulers of Granada, the Alhambra. The mountains of the Sierra Nevada and the beaches of the Mediterranean are both less than an hour away by public transportation.
