Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I never felt stressed over the workload and I only had to write two papers. Overall it was a fairly easy experience in comparison to my workload here in the States.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The administrators of my program in the UK were really good, however the other people in my program were very disrespectful and difficult to deal with. I think that took a little bit away from my administrators being able to do their jobs.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Very safe neighborhood in central London. You did have to provide your own food but that became fairly easy.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

When I was in London, I got to see the student protests, a protest against the BNP, and the Pope. It was incredible being so close to all of this political and social action in my own neighborhood.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

With CCTV, I never felt unsafe. You just have to be smart.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Take out large amounts like $300 at once so you don't keep having currency exchange fees.
