What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile! I learned how to act in situations with a language and culture barrier. I was also able to visit many major cities all around western Europe.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The classes I took were not ones I would have choosen at Centre and don't apply to my major. However, it was a great opportunity to take a broad range of courses and get a true liberal arts feel.

Sometimes the program administrator wouldn't be in her office and it was difficult to contact her.

Bouxwiller: 6 person apartment. <br /><br />

Weekend travel was absolutely amazing!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Italy and England were the most expensive countries I visited. Travelling is expensive, but that is to be expected.

Professor Hullar was a wonderful French teacher!

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Make time for it and earn money for it; would live in Strasbourg again in a heartbeat!
