several planned excursions, good transportation (hassle to get to), staff were very friendly at chateau. |

We stayed at a chateau in a quiet town outside of the city, We lived with 2 other college/university groups and the staff of the chateau. |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
we took several trips to places in germany and france, we saw castles, museums, wineries, and even a concentration camp. |

practiced with locals, did not need in everyday interactions unless outside the chateau, everyone at chateau spoke english, most french citizens knew basic english. |
