Strasbourg felt a safe city. Our chateau was in a quiet, peaceful, and safe neighbourhood. That said, one has to be careful about self all the time, regardless of where he/she is. |

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | 60-70 euros. But can be easily survived on 30 euros. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Europe can be expensive, but cheap at the same time. Do not spend like crazy. Be frugal when needed. |

Very few people spoke English so I had to use French almost everywhere I went. |
