Experience Art and Culture in the Heart of History
This unique internship program offers aspiring artists, art historians, and cultural heritage enthusiasts an opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich artistic traditions of Greece. Interns will work alongside accomplished artists and heritage experts, learning through hands-on practice and shadowing their daily creative processes across various artistic disciplines.




Program Highlights




  • Hands-On Artistic Practice: Engage directly with art forms by learning and practicing basic techniques under the guidance of experienced artists. Disciplines include: 

    •         Marble Sculpting

    •         Micromosaics

    •         Painting

    •         Ceramics

    •         Calligraphy

    •         Moulding

    •         Wood/Lino Carving

    •         Cement/Wire Modelling

    •         Block Printing

    •         Art Preservation/Conservation




  • Shadowing Artists at Work: Observe artists during their creative process, gaining unique insights into their craftsmanship and methods.


  • Tailored Learning Experience: Rotate through various art forms or focus on your chosen discipline, with a customized program designed to meet your artistic and professional interests.


  • Cultural Integration: Collaborate with artists trained or experienced abroad (UK or USA), ensuring exposure to international expertise combined with local artistic traditions.


  • Exposure to the Entire Artistic Process: From material preparation to finishing touches, participate in diverse aspects of creating and preserving art.

Accommodation


The accommodation is fully furnished (single or double beds), with WiFi, shared with 1-6 other same-sex interns, and located in safe areas with easy access to public transport and close to the internship site. The last night of the accommodation is the Friday night of the final week, leaving interns free to depart on Saturday. Private apartments can be arranged in advance, if requested and subject to availability.

Cerca Abroad Scholarships

Cerca Abroad offers each year scholarships to in-person program participants. The scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence or financial hardship. The application deadline is the 31st of January 2026 and all successful recipients of the award will be notified by the end of February.
