Program Overview
Interns will join dedicated teams focused on providing services to vulnerable populations, including refugees, at-risk youth, the elderly, people with disabilities, and those affected by crises such as poverty, domestic violence, and natural disasters. Tasks are designed to enhance interns’ understanding of social work while developing professional skills in a multicultural setting. Accommodation
The accommodation is fully furnished (single or double beds), with WiFi, shared with 1-6 other same-sex interns, and located in safe areas with easy access to public transport and close to the host site. The last night of the accommodation is the Friday night of the final week, leaving interns free to depart on Saturday. Private apartments can be arranged in advance, if requested and subject to availability.

Cerca Abroad offers each year scholarships to in-person program participants. The scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence or financial hardship. The application deadline is the 31st of January 2026 and all successful recipients of the award will be notified by the end of February.
