About
This is an in-country hands-on & observation program with provided shared housing and local team support. Although Greece is a developed country and part of the European Union, it is facing real social challenges. The influx of high numbers of refuges, poverty and domestic violence are issues that affect all of us and there is a high need for people to help. Interns will support priorities for mental health, abuse, as well as working to support community members with diverse needs, such as the elderly, at-risk youth, and people with disabilities as well as in crises that arise from a natural disaster. Interns should be flexible to interact with diverse cultures and demographics and while they are not expected to be directly responsible for any client/patient care, they will provide services and care for people. Please note the degree of independence and nature of the tasks that Psychology interns will be assigned is dependent on your prior experience.
