What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a lot more confidence in the clinical setting. Being in surgeries and different clinics really pushed me to grow.

It's been a really eye-opening experience overall. I learned a ton in the clinics and surgeries , and every week felt like I was growing more confident.

The on-site team was honestly great, super organized and always there when I needed something.

I was honestly really happy with the place. It was comfortable, quiet and close to everything I needed.

The food's been great! Lots of tasty local spots and easy options that don't break the budget.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

People were welcoming and daily life in the city made it easy to feel part of the culture.

Health care was handled really smoothly.

I felt totally safe the whole time, both in the hospital and around the city.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Hi, I am Hayden Gropp, I am from Colorado in the USA. I am in this program because I was interested into anesthesiology and this is one of the programs that they offered. I have been in surgeries and doing different clinics around. Everyone in Cerca has been great in helping out and with any questions I’ve had. I am enjoying Athens a lot. There’s a lot of different places to go visit and I would recommend coming here if you want to be in surgeries all the time.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I'd say the easiest way to save money is to cook a few meals at home and use cheap local spots when you eat out.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? The whole program was so well organized that it took a lot of the stress out of the experience from day one.
