Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Overall, CET was more intense than other abroad programs. I struggled to enjoy many of my classes but, the workload was relatively light. Wish I took advantage of shopping classes more than I did.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Administration at CET Prague was fantastic! They were always friendly and tried their best to be accommodating.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I had a fantastic apartment just a tram ride away from where my classes were. Really great location!

* Food:

Food in CZ isn't the best in all of Europe but, there are some great local spots.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Healthcare in CZ was really easy to get access too. Choices were not as thorough as they may have been in the US but, the program provided me with multiple options, including seeing local specialists. I never felt out of touch or incapable of receiving care had I needed it.

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Prague is so affordable in comparison to the rest of Europe! Lived on about $20 a day and ate all my meals out!

How much did the program encourage you to use the language?

0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language

Individual Course Reviews

Course Name/Rating:

Nationalism, Minorities, and Migrations in Europe

Course Department:
Instructor: Salim Murad
Instruction Language: English
Comments: This was one of the most fantastic courses I have taken during my college career thus far. Professor Murad was so invested in the subject and curriculum. All students in CET should take this class regardless of their overall academic interest. Gave me great insight into history, socioeconomics, and overall perceptions of individuals in the Czech Republic.
