Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Overall experience was limited due to COVID restrictions still present in the country. For example local roommates, a promised component of the CET program, were unavailable due to COVID restrictions. More opportunities to see the country outside of the classroom during the week would have been appreciated, but again COVID restrictions played a role in these limitations.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Housing was more than adequate and accessible to public transportation

* Food:

Cheap and Tasty

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Well integrated, especially with the help of my language partners

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Taipei was incredibly safe while I was there

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I think the shortcomings of my program would likely be ironed out with the ending/reduction of COVID restrictions that have already occurred in Taiwan.

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? rougly 150 USD

What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? An intermediate Chinese course
