Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Overall, a great experience! My language instructor was amazing, and I really enjoyed going to class despite it being early and three hours long. The internship course allowed for deeper immersion into Taipei's culture and people.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were all friendly, interesting, and funny people. They helped us work through some conflicts but I didn't feel particularly engaged with them. However, it was a shame that the program is so short & I wish that there were more activities, both in quantity and variety.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Housing location and housemates were both above satisfactory, but due to the nature of the program's housing, your location in the city might vary greatly. Many other students had unlucky experiences with housemates, as well.

* Food:

So good and so cheap :)

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Living there was a positive experience and I felt generally welcomed into the culture!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

The one time I got sick, my doctor's appointment was not only free, but also super super efficient. I was in and out with effective pills within a 20-30 minutes.

* Safety:

You probably won't get something back if you lose it, but you don't feel unsafe walking around alone at night in more developed areas.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I chose Taiwan to experience its unique culture & lifestyle! This seems like a good option out of ones that are located in Taiwan

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 100-200
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Dont lose your student ID, CET tops it up with money for transport & other use
