About
Sweden is situated in Scandinavia and shares a border with Finland and Norway. Sweden is roughly the size of the state of California with less than 3% of it developed. Due to the Gulf Stream, the climate in Sweden is relatively mild along the south coast. Find out what it is like to live as a Swedish teenager while living with a host family and attending a local public high school. No previous Swedish language ability is required, but you should be motivated to learn about the language and culture.
Program Details:
- 10, 5, or 3 month program starts in August
- 5 or 3 month program starts in January
- Must be between the ages of 15½ and 18
- No language requirement
- School year starts in August
- Placed with volunteer host family
