* Housing:

Each accommodation differs quite a low. I was in International House 1. It was a much older building. The benefit though was it was a more sociable place to live. It was on the other side of a mountain from my classes, so a bus was necessary for me. |

Meals on campus is generally around 3 -4 USD. Lots of different options. |

Yes
East Asia will be more uncomfortable than Europe, but I think it will teach you more and show you a more different perspective on life. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
If I didn't travel as much as I did, it would have been very affordable. It really depends on an individual's wants/desires. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | perhaps about $100. flights to other countries is what really cost money. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Research the Schwab "High yield checking account" card. Basically, it is a card in which you can take money out of any ATM without a transaction fee. I can show up to any country I want and easily take money out at the international exchange rate, even if I only wanted 20 USD worth in a foreign currency. You can also easily transfer money into this account from a US bank account. |

The Avid AdventurerThe wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal. |
