Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
OM 335 in Hong Kong was the best class I've taken in school. Getting to apply what we learned in class to real world facilities from one side of the Pacific to the other was awesome. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Friendly, but there was some difficulty communicating throughout the summer. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
|
* Food: |
Nothing special at the campus cafeteria. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Watching World Cup games in the European district of Hong Kong with Brits, Germans, Canadians- everyone! |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Hong Kong is safe as long as you're smart, especially at night. It's just like any other city. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | One of the mainland China trips was a bit far of a drive. While we got to see the Chinese country side, it cost an extra day in a hotel and probably was not worth it. |

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition? |
