Personal Information
How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? | 0-2 weeks |
Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
School in Thailand is pretty easy, the students are very hard workers so they will put in a lot of time to study and complete assignments. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Met all expectations. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I lived off campus and got my own apartment, it was good and bad in a lot of ways. Increased privacy but a little disconnected with the other students activities ect. |
* Food: |
I didn't know what to eat or buy at the supermarket nor did I have a kitchen to cook anyway, I just ate rice and beef everyday from the local street vendor. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I had no local friends for a while. You more than likely will have very few unless you can speak some Thai. Don't worry about it, there will be Thai friends that are nice, but some can be mean to foreigners too. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Thailand is safe and have never felt threatened at night by local people. It is usually mellow outside of the protest period. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition? |
|
Direct Enrollment/Exchange

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Concentrate on networking while abroad because you will see them later on in life somewhere and it will blow your mind. Also travel at least once every two weeks while in Thailand, there's a lot to see. Don't stay in your room too much and also don't take prerequisites while abroad, complete bore.. |
