What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a beginners grasp of the Arabic language. A much greater understanding of Arab and Muslim culture and how they view the rest of the world. I got to see many places that few Americans will ever travel to; Beirut and Damascus for example. I would be very interested in a return visit either to work or visit.
