* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

teachers were completely uninvolved, gave a fair amount of work, overall grade basically determined by one final. Never received feedback in any of my classes...

On-site administration of your program

program was a good size, program excursions were pretty weak... Study abroad personel were very helpful and willing to work with you to solve a problem

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

LOVE the food. try Da Greco for GREAT italian food

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Trip to Madrid was my favorite

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I always felt safe on campus and walking home every night (I had a class that went till 9pm T/TH)

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? food is EXPENSIVE. SO are drinks, so buy a water bottle and reuse it with tap water when you eat at restaurants

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Beginner
What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? I hadnt taken a spanish course, just placed out of second-semester proficiency
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

I practiced with my senora, spanish students, and people I encountered daily. I used spanish in everyday interactions, however, most people knew english and spanish
