I didnt take my classes very seriously because my grades did not show up on my Brandeis transcript and i did not need anything for credit. It was a very interesting experiencing attending University of Cape Town and if I had wanted more academic rigor, intensity, etc it definitely would have been offered to me |

majority of people in the CIEE office in the US and in Cape Town were extremely kind and helpful. I was always comfortable to approach anybody and there were a few instances where my friends and I needed help and it was offered to us in a wonderful manner. |

I wish I had personally done a better job integrating myself rather than sticking with the americans |

there was a health clinic right down the road. CIEE gave me their name and number and my CIEE RA even offered to come with me whenever I needed, or my friends needed, medical attention |

obviously cape town and south africa are not the safest places in the world but as long as you are aware of your surroundings and are not ignorant about the issues within the country then there is not much to worry about. |
