About
Students will take courses at CIEE's highly selective partner school, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), and agree to speak only Spanish to facilitate language and cultural immersion. All CIEE students must enroll in the semester-long Advanced Spanish language course at the UC3M International School with other U.S. students – except if you are a heritage speaker. The remaining courses can be a selection of UC3M International School courses in Spanish designed for U.S. college students. Students also have the option to combine their registration with regular university courses with Spanish students on the same campus (Getafe). Outside the classroom, all courses are complemented with activities and excursions that delve deeper into Madrid's multicultural traditions.
