Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Thought that the professors graded way too strictly. It was hard to do well there no matter how hard you worked and the professors did not teach as well there as they do at Clark. Work load was good because there was less work to do so you had more time to enjoy the experience. Everything was worth a higher percentage though because there were less assignments. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Paul and Kate, our program leaders, were great. They showed us what Perth had to offer and were there for all of the CIEE students every step of the way. They always arranged great activities for us to do. They made the experience very special. There are so many strengths in this program, I can't list them. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
It was great to have my own bedroom along with a kitchen, living room, and bathroom. It was close to campus and to all of my friends living there. It would have been better if there was a more convenient way to get groceries, but that is my only complaint. Close to pool and bus stop as well. Did not have the best roomates, but everything worked out and if I wanted to move I know I could have. |
* Food: |
Had to make all of my own food so this does not apply. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The program offered a lot ways to experience the culture and to travel. We had many field trips throughout the semester and did some cool things like the Northwest Trip and Rottonest Island. We had too many trips to mention, but they were all great. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
There was a Health Services office on campus that I went to when I was sick it helped and I was able to get the medicine I needed. The insurance provided helped to lower the cost of my visit. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | All of the fear you may be feeling is worth it. Studying abroad was the biggest risk I have ever taken, but it was definitely the best experience of my life. Perth offers so many amazing opportunities. It is a beautiful location and it is so much fun. Any student could benefit from this program. |
