Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I had the most incredible experience of my life. I learned so much more than I could have even imagined. Not only about psychology and Czech culture, but about myself and my perspective on the world now.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were all AMAZING and so sweet and helpful. I felt at home the entire time.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I was VERY pleased. I somehow lived in a massive flat with 4 rooms, one for each of us. I loved my Czech buddy and the local neighborhood was perfect. Couldn't have been any nicer honestly.

* Food:

I'm picky to begin with, so I had a difficult time at first with the food. After the first month though I loved everything and miss it so much now.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Very integrated. My Czech buddy/flatmate was so sweet and amazing and she took us to all the local bars and restaurants. They were way better than any of the tourist parts of the city. I said good morning and thank you (in Czech) on a daily basis at the small markets on the street and witnessed locals during their everyday life. I loved it.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

The health care was AMAZING and so was the CIEE staff who took care of me. I bruised my heel and had a difficult time walking most of my time there, but the ER was helpful and cheap and I was so thankful for the help from everyone.

* Safety:

I made a point to not go out alone at night, just because I didn't want to put myself in that position. But during the day it was very safe to go around the city alone and explore. It's a beautiful place.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Food and beer are extremely cheap so I was able to live at minimal cost

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $100 average

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No
