Completely! I learned how to live with a family that was not my own without hot water and I learned how to teach children how to read in Spanish. Not to mention I learned how to speak the language! emily.neubig.1 - Clark University - Worcester View Entire Review
My experience was very worthwhile. I met new people and had experiences that I could never imitate in a classroom at my home university. I pushed myself to overcome the challenge of language barriers and became more confident in myself and my knowledge of the Dominican culture. Maya G - Brandeis University View Entire Review

It was extremely worthwhile. I am going to continue my studies in Community Development, with a focus on advocating for Latinos in the United States and/or Hispanic countries abroad. Dominicans gave me a new perspective on life and how to truly enjoy it. Margaret F - Clark University View Entire Review
