Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I had no problems with Yonsei University.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

SK Global House was really nice. The elevators were a bit slow, but other than that it was good. Yonsei University is far from the subway station though. I recommend learning the bus routes.

* Food:

The cafeteria is more expensive than outside, but it's convenient.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We went on a field trip outside of Seoul, but I didn't have as much fun as I thought I would.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

They didn't really address health. I felt really safe though. We walked around at night and nothing ever happened.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cafes are a lot more expensive there.

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Intermediate
What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? Korean Beginning 2
Language acquisition improvement?

Practice with taxi drivers. When asking for directions, it's best to go to a convenience store and ask the cashier; they generally know the area well.
