Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Overally the coarse load was fairly diversified in quality. There was only 2 testing periods which your grade was determined. Class attendance was important to go to in order to keep on track. Overall is was a lot more relaxed outside of mid-terms and finals. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
This was a great program to go though. Suzanne Crowder Han was extremely helpful to us when organizing excursions and helping with any problems that arose. The staff at the SK global house (the dorm that I lived in) were extremely difficult to work with and the Program staff helped me solve my issues that I had with them. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Living on campus was extremely convenient. but the international housing was completely seperated from the other part of campus with a mountain. |
* Food: |
Korean food is amazing! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
CIEE relaly helped when it came to getting out and into cultural experiences. They took us all for a Changu lesson which got me really interested in it an influenced my decision to join tte, the traditional drumming club on campus. CIEE set up many other cultural excursions that I would likely not have thought of if was not for them. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |

|

|

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | be assertive and do not take a back seat. If you want to meet local Koreans join a club, it is the best oppertunity to meet great friends in Korea. Try everything, even if you think you wont like it, you may be surprised. |

Instruction Language: | English |
Comments: | This class was not a good class. The professor was extremely knowlegable but he did not know how to transfer that knowledge to the students. The class was badly organized and when somone asked a question of him, even in private, for verification he would insist that he already explained and would not answer the question. As such projects were difficult and he would complain about them all. It was not a good class. |
