I gained an ability to use spanish more fluently and express myself more clearly in spanish. I also gained a lot of problem solving skills in my time in Spain as well. I'm so so so glad I went and it was definitely worthwhile. Alyssa Berkson - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned so much from my experience abroad and it was very worthwhile. I became much more responsible and independent from travelling around Europe. I increased my Spanish language skills and learned a lot about Spanish culture and how it differs from American culture. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned all about different cultures and I got a lot better at Spanish. Very worthwhile. A student - Barnard College View Entire Review
It was absolutely worthwhile. I not only mastered Spanish, but I made friends for life, learned to cope in a totally new environment, learned to become more independent, and had so much fun becoming a Sevillan during the year. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Yes, it was worthwhile. I think I learned more about myself and it helped me be a more independent person. A student - Providence College View Entire Review
I learned so much more than I ever thought that I would. I came to learn Spanish and I learned that and more. I really learned about myself and others and would never trade the experience for anything. Elizabeth_5279 - Providence College View Entire Review
I enjoyed being abroad but, for whatever reason, did not really grow to love Seville. I definitely gained skills about being independent and self-sufficient, which are incredibly valuable. My spoken Spanish definitely improved a bit and I augmented my Spanish vocabulary. I did not really enjoy my classes at the university due... A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review

My experience really shifted my perspective on future plans. Going abroad helped me gain independence and realize the context in which I can thrive. I think that the study abroad experience allows people to learn more about themselves which is why I would recommend that students go abroad if they have the opportunity to do so. Marisa P - Trinity University View Entire Review
My experience in Sevilla was mainly cultural. The classes at the University did not present a challenge to me and I did't feel like the educational aspect of my semester abroad was worth it. However, getting to know such a different culture was a really great experience. Eliana V - Trinity University View Entire Review
My comprehension increased immensely. I gained a lot of independence and became a lot more proactive in my life because it's the only option--if you aren't clear about what you need and don't go out and get it, nothing will get done. It certainly broadened my cultural understanding and I think I got a really good feel for the Sp... C M - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
Studying abroad is no doubt something everyone should do. You learn so much about other cultures as well as yourself. I cannot even put into words how studying abroad has affected me. When I graduate in December, I will not take a job that does not involve international participation. Brittany B - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I learned how to rely on myself and be ok with being alone every now and then. I also learned that stressing about grades and school is not a worldwide phenomena and that I should take time to enjoy life, sit and eat a great meal, and have real conversations with friends. I gained a lot of self-confidence, both traveling around Europe and navigating through my host city. Seville became a second home :) A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I gained a better understanding of the language and Spanish culture in general. I would consider it an invaluable experience and one of the best experiences I have had to date. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned more about myself and I was able to feel more comfortable with spanish as a main language. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
To be independent, to not sweat the little things, and to realize there's more to life than a strict work schedule. A student - Providence College View Entire Review
I learned that homesickness is not always gazing at the moon wishing you were seeing it from a different shore. For me it manifested as a culture shock with a culture I thought I knew already. I didn't at first. I grew into it and loved it, but when I first got there I was surprised that I didn't immediately feel like 'i got thi... A student - Providence College View Entire Review
It was worthwhile, but had a few step backs that made me waste unnecessary time. A student - Providence College View Entire Review

More than anything, I learned about my own culture and how incredibly different the American mindset is. I loved learning about the way of life there and how different it was from my own. A student - Trinity University View Entire Review
studying abroad is something that everyone should do in my opinion. Tim C - Trinity University View Entire Review
Extremely. I learned to be more independent in Sevilla and think its interesting to see how you cope with certain situations so far away from home. It is very difficult, but will help in the long run. Maribel P - Trinity University View Entire Review
