Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Grading was not as tough as my home university but I was given at a good amount of work during my program.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The CIEE center was a good resource for help, but far away from my homestay and the university I was attending.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My senora was very kind and understanding during my stay. She cooked me a generous amount of food and always checked to see if I needed anything.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

It was a bit tough to assimilate into the Spanish culture. Even when I did try to speak Spanish with the locals, it was difficult to understand because the people of Sevilla have heavier accents than most Spanish speaking people.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I was given health insurance through my study abroad program.

* Safety:

I felt very safe at all times. Other students were placed in homestays that were in a close promiximity to mine, always making sure I had someone to walk home with.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

The room and board cost included 3 meals a day, therefore it was easy to keep costs low on food.
