What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained insight pertaining to the world aroudn me, not just the country of Spain but Europe in general. Each year with the help of technology and the internet the world is becoming a smaller place, so it is increasingly more important to understand the cultures of the citizens of the world.

there was a difference in grading system, it wasn't as harsh

the directors of the program were extremely helpful and available when needed.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

i felt very safe in my neighborhood, it was nice being able to walk everywhere. it was about a 30 minute walk to class, even though it seems long it wasn't bad because it was still warm!

* Food:

lots of fried food in spain! beware!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

we traveled to granada, cordoba, and cadiz. very rewarding and fun weekends

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

i did not have any experience with health care, but many of my friends did and they had an overall good experience. I felt very safe in Sevilla, even walking home alone at night.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Language acquisition improvement?

I practiced the language with my host family as well as my professors and the locals. Not many people spoke english other than the younger generations

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? the students who would most benefit from this program are those who wish to increase their knowledge of the spanish language by interacting with the citizens of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Comments: this was a challenging course in that it was taught in spanish but was a history class. i was able to have a better understanding of the history of spain while improving my language skills
Credit Transfer Issues: not sure yet!
