By A student (Kinesiology, Western Washington University) - abroad from 09/05/2012 to 12/13/2012 with

Everyone in the program was very approachable and informative. They were all very friendly and professional. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I loved my host family and if I did not feel comfortable with them, my program had many more available options. |
* Food: |
The food was great and always on time. Sometimes I did not like what we were eating, but my host mom was very accommodating. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I felt very integrated. Especially living in a home stay and having an intercambio through my program, I was giving many options to practice my spanish and learn about the Sevillian culture. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Sevilla was very safe. Although there were some stories of pick pocketers and muggings like any city, my program was very aware of that and kept us well informed and aware. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
I am actually not sure how much the program cost came out to weekly. I do think it was a fairly expensive program because it is set in Spain. But once the flat fee was paid, everything I needed was covered. I was given 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, so my only expenses were not vital. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $25-$35 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | No. |
