Seville is a place I will NEVER forget Past Review
By Angela P (Journalism., The University of Texas at Austin) for
CIEE: Seville - Liberal Arts
My experience was so much more than credit fulfillment. Because of my time abroad I've become more understanding, more aware of my own abilities and more appreciative of my own culture. Also, I've recognized that I want to be more daring in my future career choices and life decisions because even though risks are always challenging, the process is so much more rewarding. Living and studying in Seville did so much for me in all areas of my life and it's an unforgettable experience, that will stay with me forever.

The Liberal Arts program through CIEE was very well organized and was a great resource for students who needed guidance while abroad. Also, for more independent students, it didn't force any undesired activities. Also, all the faculty and staff were a delight to work. |

* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |

* Safety: |
I thought Seville to be very safe. People are out walking at all times, so if you find yourself out and about at 4 in the morning, chance are you won't be alone or susceptible. You can't be completely aloof to safety precautions though; some pickpockets were prominent in the downtown area. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Plan outside trips early, because it's always cheaper that way. Also, learn where locals go to buy their goods or spend their money. If you only shop downtown and have coffee there, you're going to seriously overpay. |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | If you want to get the most out of Seville, you have to be outgoing and an optimist. Life is done so different there, that if you cannot easily adapt, you'll have a tough time settling into a rhythm. However, if you're open-minded and always ready for the next adventure and at the same time know when to relax and take it easy, you'll thrive and have an unbelievable and unmatchable experience. |
