GO TO SEVILLA! Past Review

CIEE: Seville - Liberal Arts

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was the most incredible experience. I learned so much about myself and other people, and how great a different way of life can be. I think that Spain is a relaxing and beautiful place, with such rich culture and history. The people, Sevilla, and everything about my whole experience has given me the travel bug and I can't wait to go back!! ( I want to teach and work abroad).

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Workload was fine! Grading system is great. Teaching is totally different and so is grading - but it also completely depends on the class and teacher.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were incredibly supportive and available. Always willing to help and even though my program had hundreds of students still seemed to know us each on a personal level.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Loved my home family. We had bunkbeds and a really small room so that was hard at times but other than that we had a great time with the family. Our location was incredible; heart of the city and easy to get anywhere basically. We were treated as family by our host family, it was so much fun!

* Food:

Lots of food!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Very safe! Weekly emails on safety with tips, updates and advice.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Not really

Language

A Look Back
