Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I really liked my experience but I was defetetly used to the American education system. My classes at the CIEE center were more similar. The amount of workload was fair but it was less than the workload I would get in my university but it wasn't easy iether. Thinking back I like the American system rather than the Spanish one, though you don't get much homework throughout the semester you have to study alot at the end of the semester for your final. I feel it makes you fool around during the semester and at the end stress out to pass the final.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I was really please with this program I had a great experience.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I loved my host family ! I was treated like a family member and they were really sweet. I had my own room which was pretty big. I didn't have to buy anything for the house. The only thing you would need is a converter, but my host mom had a couple so she gave one to me and one to my housemate.

* Food:

I loved most of the food and you def. have to go to coloniale :)

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We traveled around Sevilla to Granada, Cordoba and Cadiz I just loved everything.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt pretty safe inSevilla. I would walk every where. and the programgave us some tips.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? don't just start spending everything when you get there because you will stress out a little at the end of the semester

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Fluent
Language acquisition improvement?

I had to use spanish for everything; with my host family, my university and the CIEE center. Though most students were americans so the majority of them liked to speak english for outside activities.

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
