Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Had a cafeteria so during the week when we were on campus, it was not necessary to buy groceries and other kitchen essentials since we were provided with three meals a day

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 10-15 when not traveling
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Sparing a number of occasions eat out as little as possible when at your home institution. It's better to save your money drinking and eating amazing foods while you travel elsewhere.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Learn your basics. And only use them if you know them really well because its frustrating to locals when you're trying to practice and their trying to work. Most people know English.
