CISabroad (Center for International Studies): Florence - Intern in Florence
Living abroad was VERY worthwhile, the internship aspect did little to nothing to help my professional development.

Review Your Program
|
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The courses were well structured however I feel that FUA did not enforce a lot of policies and there were no repercussions for those not following academic guidelines. |
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
I rarely met with my advisor for my internship and in the end only worked 3 hours a week at my internship site. |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I loved my apartment and my roommates were great! I wish there would have been more variety in terms of international students living with us. |
| * Food: |
The food was amazing, I found it hard to eat when I returned to the United Stated because I enjoyed the food so much. |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I loved the ability to travel while I was there. I took advantage of every opportunity I could. My favorite thing in Florence was the open produce markets. |

Yes
|
Finances
|
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language

| Language acquisition improvement? |
it was too short, I felt that 6 weeks did not provide me with as much language as I was hoping for. |
