Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
When I was traveling around Aussie I was spending a lot of money, but living locally does not require as much. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $6000 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Shop at Aldi's and Woolies for groceries. Going out to eat can be really fun but don't make that an everyday habit if you are on a reasonable budget. You will be spending money traveling, eating out each day while you are travelling, day and nightlife activities, transportation, etc. There are plenty of avenues that already are going to require you spending money, I would just recommend not making food a big expense as it doesn't need to be. |
