I learned a lot about myself, and how amazing the world is out there. How different cultures are. There's a huge world out there and I've only experienced a little. It was very worthwhile

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

overall very good

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

they were very helpful with issues and concerns about being abroad

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

housing was very up to date and nice, but some unspecified construction was happening during the last couple weeks and it was very loud and obnoxious, but the university dealt with it well

* Food:

didn't provide food, but the food from markets and restaurants was good

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

being right in the center of the city was an amazing experience

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Was able to visit the health services as a student for free when i had heath concerns

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I wouldn't have been able to have the experiences I had without the people I met. I now have made so many friends around the world, and even plan on seeing some of them at some point in the near future

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

pretty good, the currency exchange and transaction fees were the only setbacks

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? about £40 (about $50-$55)
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? save up! take out money in lump sums so transaction fees don't add up, $300 and use that up before you take out anymore. if you don't have a chip in your card, don't use your card anywhere but stores, Never use Outside ATM's

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program?
